A Zen-like state is when your thoughts and the execution seem to operate in harmony. You may be thinking less and accomplishing more. Most of you would love to live in that Zen state more then just visiting it once in awhile, truth be told one can simply be there more often then you think. If you want to live there, you have to force your brain through a sequence of triggers. We are accused of going through life knowing that we are more left-brain dominated, where there is another half just sitting right next to it, more or less untouched. That harmony, that creates Zen, is exactly what it means, both operation of your left and right brain function. The right brain provides the creative direction and your left brain takes the orders and executes them. If you want Zen, you are going to have to balance the activity in order to find that flow. We all don't need to be Buddhists to study Zen, it's just a way to have control over our thoughts, that on some days seem to run on their own.
This is a great way to hear what others do to find their Zen and their life experiences:

There are many ways to find your Zen. The internet is a great way to get started and any books you may want to read. How to See Yourself as You Really Are, by the Dalai Lama, is one of my favorites.
I am choosing to write this topic today, because it is not only apart of my spirituality, it is also a healthy way to help organize my busy day thoughts, without having to resort in over-eating, drinking or any other unhealthy way of dealing with stress. As mentioned before I am balancing many things in my life, but centering myself and creating that positive energy flow helps me get back on track and focus on what's important. We all have stress, we all have different things going on, but finding a way to balance everything is the best way to accomplish your goals and keep moving forward. Physical exercise will also help you unwind and relieve any stress you have built up. Yoga is defiantly a way to find your center and look great in the long run too! But, taking a few extra moments for yourself before getting into your car to work, will help you relax and take the day in easy strides rather then large bountiful leaps, mad dashes and crazy twists and turns.
We not only have to keep our bodies healthy, but our mind as well.
Have a Happy Zen-ful Day
